Ho Ho Ho......too early for Christmas jokes???



Welcome everyone to what will be the final MAX CAMmunicator for 2014. It is hard to believe we are already getting towards the end of another year. The Annual Rockhampton Christmas Pageant has come and gone, Santa has already arrived in the shopping centres, and if you have little ones, no doubt they are already asking how many sleeps to go. Christmas just seems to come around earlier each year. Time certainly didn't go this fast when we were at school (back in the days before schools were air conditioned or for some of us, even had fans!).

Just a reminder, our office will close for the Christmas/New Year period from 5.00pm Friday 19 December 2014 and will re-open at 8.30am on Monday 12 January 2015.

Comings and goings...we recently welcomed Ethan Reid to our team (read more about Ethan below) and on Friday just gone, we said a temporary farewell to Aliesha, who is due to have her first baby in a couple of weeks. We wish Aliesha and her partner Joe all the best for the imminent arrival.

Jenny and Rachelle attended the 2014 Panalytics Accounting Network Conference in Bali and came back refreshed and motivated after having the opportunity to listen to a number of great international guest speakers, including Alan Weiss from Summit Consulting.

Christine and Jenny also recently attended an ATO regional forum where they had the opportunity to put forward their thoughts and ideas on various matters in the taxation world.

After many years of saying "we should do this", we are also excited to announce we will be joining Relay for Life next year. So watch this space for more details about our upcoming fundraisers.

Who is....Ethan Reid??

Ethan joined us a Junior Accountant towards the end of September, and even though he is the only male in an office full of women, Ethan is settling in well to the Maxcam office.

After marrying the lovely Kyna in August, Ethan relocated to Rockhampton from Mackay where he had worked as a Junior Accountant with a local firm for over three years. He has experience in the preparation of Income Tax Returns for Individuals, Companies, Trusts and Partnerships as well as Financial Statements and Business Activity Statements.



Ethan is currently studying a Bachelor of Accounting degree at CQ University which he expects to finish by the end of 2016.
