So much seems to have happened since our last newsletter...Queensland won its eighth consecutive State of Origin Series, Kevin Rudd got his old job back (but for how much longer?), Jenny headed to Italy for the World Masters Games for Hockey, Christine completed a Diploma in Financial Planning, and we welcomed the latest little additions to the MaxCam family - Karlie welcomed her second son, Baby Erek into the world in July, and Angela welcomed Baby Amity on Tuesday evening. Both Mums and Bubs are doing well, and we wish them all the best.

Don't forget about our Audit Shield Service. In July you would have received letters inviting you to renew your insurance, or take up insurance under the audit shield service which provides cover for your latest lodged return and all previous years' lodged returns.

Should you be subject to an Audit, Review or Investigation instigated by the ATO or any other government agency (e.g. WorkCover), there is the requirement to respond to queries and provide information to explain your position. The costs incurred can be significant. We emphasise there is no compulsion to participate, however we consider this service to be a valuable tool in reducing the uncertainty of unexpected fees.
